On November 10, Honored Artist of the Republic of Hungary, PhD Agoch (Akush) Gergey, historians Kapostash Atila and Madiyari Lavents visited the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the life of the branch, as well as to further strengthen cultural ties between the two countries and conduct master classes. The guests were welcomed by the director of our branch, R. Allanbayev, and talented students of the Chamber Orchestra with live performances. Then, the cultural event continued in high spirits with a live concert program performed by the branch’s “Jayhun” folk instruments orchestra and talented student youth.

THE AMBASSADOR OF FRANCE IN OUR BRANCH…

🔹At the initiative of the French Embassy in Uzbekistan, French Culture Month is being held for the first time in Nukus from October 27 to November 30, 2025. Within the framework of the program, various events aimed at developing cultural cooperation between France and Uzbekistan, including with the Republic of Karakalpakstan, have been organized. In this regard, on November 6, the Ambassador of France to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque, arrived to familiarize himself with the life of the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. The Ambassador was greeted with live performances by the director of our branch, R. Allanbayev, and talented students of the Chamber Orchestra. Then, the cultural event continued in high spirits with a live concert program performed by the branch’s “Jayhun” folk instruments orchestra and talented student youth.After that, negotiations were held with Ambassador Walid Fouque. It outlined the work to be carried out to further strengthen cultural ties between the two countries.

Rector of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan Kamoliddin Urinbayev met with the staff of the branch

On October 23, the Rector of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, Kamoliddin Urinbayev, visited our branch. The rector was greeted with live music and songs by the director of the branch, R. Allanbayev, the branch staff, and the “Jayhun” folk instruments orchestra. It should be noted that since the establishment of the branch, Rector K. Urinbayev has paid special attention to improving the educational process here, creating the necessary conditions, providing the necessary equipment and musical instruments, etc. Today, Rector Kamoliddin Urinbayev met with the faculty and administration staff of the branch, wished them great success in their difficult and noble work, and familiarized himself with their thoughts and suggestions.

POET AND YOUTH

Within the framework of the “Share Enlightenment” project, held locally to encourage students to read books, an artistic meeting was organized on October 17 at the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan with Rustam Musurmon, recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal, “Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan,” “People’s Poet of Karakalpakstan,” Bakhtiyar Genjemuratov, recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal, “People’s Poet of Uzbekistan,” “Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan,” and Masihulloh Madaminov, a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.   First, the guests were met by the First Deputy Director for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work of the branch, B. Seytanov, who familiarized them with the new building.   After this, the poets planted tree saplings with good intentions. Then, a meeting was organized, where poets spoke and recited excerpts from their poems. Rustam Musurmon, recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal, Honored Cultural Worker of Uzbekistan, and People’s Poet of Karakalpakstan, presented our branch with several new books as souvenirs.   The event continued with a live concert program featuring the branch’s “Chamber Ensemble” and talented students.   At the end of the meeting, the guests were presented with a Letter of Appreciation from our branch.

NEW CULTURAL RELATIONS WITH FRANCE

Despite the fact that the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan has not yet been opened, the number of people interested in it is increasing, and cooperation is being established with the world’s most famous conservatories. On October 10, on the eve of the Days of Culture of the French Republic, the Embassy of the French Republic will visit the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.Feruza Muhammedaminova, an employee of the Department of Culture and Cooperation, visited. Feruza Mukhammedaminova was welcomed by our director R. Allanbayev and the branch staff, who familiarized her with the new building of the educational institution. Negotiations were held between Feruza Muhammedaminova and Director R. Allanbayev, and plans for cultural ties between the two countries were outlined.

Meeting with the Minister in the new creative space

Today, October 6, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kongratbay Sharipov, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanzhol Ayapov, visited the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory. First, the director of our branch, Rudakiy Allanbaev, met Kungratbay Sharipov and Amanzhol Ayapov and acquainted them with the new building of the branch. After that, he reviewed the process of teaching professors and teachers to students and expressed positive opinions about our branch.

MASTER CLASSES – EXPERIMENTAL SCHOOL

It is no exaggeration to say that the master classes held on October 1 within the framework of the Festival by experienced Italian teachers served as an unforgettable school of experience for our students. As a result of the master class, the students further strengthened their theoretical and practical knowledge. Thus, the visit of Italian artists to our country has entered the pages of history, further strengthening cultural ties between the two countries and making a huge contribution to the development of musical art.

MUSIC UNITES SOULS

On October 1st, the second day of the festival, organized within the framework of the ITARTs project in collaboration with the ALFREDO CASELLA Conservatory in L’Aquila, Italy, continues at the Berdaq Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theatre and the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory. Today, at the Berdaq Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theater, the ballet “Nazlimkhan Suluw,” performed by Honored Art Worker of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan, laureate of the Berdaq State Prize, K. Zaretdinov, was presented to Italian audiences. The beautiful stage decorations, graceful dances, and magnificent melodies of Karakalpak national music left a great impression on the Italian guests.

As previously reported, a memorandum of cooperation based on an international grant was signed with the ALFREDO CASELLA Conservatory in L’Aquila, Italy, on February 15th of this year.   Based on the memorandum, a festival was organized on September 30th and October 1st of this year at the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory and the Berdaq Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theatre, in collaboration with Italian artists and cultural figures and the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory, within the framework of the ITARTs project.   The first day of the festival took place in high spirits on September 30th of this year at the Berdaq Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theatre. In the first part of the concert, the “Jayhun” folk music orchestra, laureate of republican and international competitions (director: Hikmat Rajabov, artistic director of the orchestra, recipient of the “Shuhrat” medal, Honored Youth Mentor of Karakalpakstan, Professor), presented: JOACCINO ROSSINI, Overture from the opera “The Prince of Seville”; Eduardo di Capua, Giovanni Capurro “O Sole Mio”; “POPURRI” BASED ON THE WORKS OF ITALIAN COMPOSERS. Luigi Danza “Funiculi-funicula” Ernesto De Curtis “Vernis-Sorrento” Joaquino Rossini’s “The Cavatina of Figaro” Giuseppe Verdi’s “Tall Song”   Famous works of Italian musical art were performed with exceptional skill.   And in the second part, by Italian students. Donne all’Opera: Croce and Delizia! Monteverdi, F. Cavalli, D. Scarlatti, D. Chimarosa, J. Rossini, J. Verdi, J. Scenes from Puchchini’s operas were performed. At the end of the event, the director of our branch expressed special gratitude to the Italian guests.
