History of the Nukus Branch of the State Conservatory

 

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. M. Mirziyoyev, during his visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan on October 2, 2020, and at the extraordinary eighth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, set relevant tasks. According to the minutes of the 73rd meeting held in an expanded format, the opening of the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan is envisaged in paragraph 94. In accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 5, 2021 No. 186 “On the establishment of the Nukus branch of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan,” the activities of the branch were organized on the basis of the Nukus Specialized School of Culture.

Admission procedures and creative exams for the 2021/2022 academic year for the bachelor’s degree program at the Uzbekistan State Conservatory were held in accordance with established procedures.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, 47 students were admitted to the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory in five areas.

Training of specialists is carried out in the following areas:

Vocational education (by specialty);

Art Studies (Music Studies);

Conducting (by type);

Vocal art (by type);

Instrumental performance (by types of instruments). Currently, the branch is headed by Associate Professor Rudakiy Orinbayevich Allanbayev – Honored Artist of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, holder of the “Shuhrat” medal.

 

The structure of the branch includes:

Faculty of “Musical Art”;

Department of “General Professional and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines”;

Department of “Instrumental Performance.”

More than twenty teachers and professors of the departments provide students with high-quality professional education.

On September 6, 2021, the first academic year began at the Nukus branch of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory. In honor of this event, a solemn opening ceremony of the branch was held at the Nukus Specialized School of Culture. Under the leadership of Rudakiy Allanbayev, in order to create favorable conditions for students, strengthen the material and technical base, and provide the branch with musical instruments, 7 musical instruments were delivered from the Uzbekistan State Conservatory: bassoon, bassoon, trombone, duduk, tuba, valtorna, lute, as well as about 500 educational materials and about 15,000 electronic books.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, the “Halyk Sazlary” ensemble, the “Halyk Sazlary” orchestra, the “Symphony” symphony orchestra, and the “Camer” chamber orchestra were established under the branch.

According to the approved design and estimate documentation, the construction of the branch is planned:

a 300-seat training building, two concert halls (200 and 100 seats),

200 student dormitories, as well as sports facilities.

These facilities will be included in the Investment Plans for 2022 and subsequent years.
